Waves wash strange things over the ocean. We hope to do the same with Southeast Asia’s most original writers. Ombak is the Malay word for “wave,” and we want to make a splash. We plan to release issues online, via Patreon, print, and for e-readers. Ombak is a biannual weird fiction journal. We aim to supply the greatest, strangest fiction Southeast Asia can provide to the rest of the world. We invite submissions from writers across Southeast Asia: the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Indonesia, Brunei, and East Timor.
